I cover Roanoke County, Botetourt County and the City of Salem for the Roanoke Times, reporting on all things local government, business and education. I'm passionate about local news and in-depth reporting, and I strive to provide news consumers with accurate, comprehensive reporting that makes them better informed about their own communities.
In the past, I've interned for the Houston Chronicle, the Investigative Reporting Workshop, Agence France-Presse, the Missoulian, Current: News for People in Public Media, Street Sense Media and Houstonia Magazine.
I graduated with honors from American University with a B.A. in Journalism. While there, I served as editor-in-chief of AWOL, AU's investigative student media publication. My reporting for AWOL won an SPJ Mark of Excellence Region 2 award for Regional Political Reporting.
When I'm not reporting, you can find me crocheting, working on my short stories or pampering my (very) spoiled cat. I'd love to connect, so feel free to reach out using the form at the bottom of this page or through LinkedIn or X.
Thanks for reaching out!
