I'm currently a reporter at The Roanoke Times covering Roanoke County and Salem. In the past, I've interned for the Houston Chronicle, the Investigative Reporting Workshop, Agence France-Presse, the Missoulian, Current: News for People in Public Media, Street Sense Media and Houstonia Magazine. 

I graduated with honors from American University with a B.A. in Journalism. While there, I served as editor-in-chief of AWOL, AU's investigative student media outlet, and I won an SPJ Mark of Excellence Region 2 award in Regional Political Reporting for my work on "Leasing litigation."
